From a Patented Invention to a Trusted Name in Fine Writing

RiNo Distribution was founded in 2017 by Jim Paradise in the Lakewood/Golden area of Colorado, but the story really starts back in 2008, when Jim invented the Sherpa Pen Cover: an all-metal, patented cover built to fit standard Sharpie markers and accept a wide range of refills. That single idea grew into a full line of 150+ Sherpa designs and variations, and it's still the heart of everything we do.

Jim's background is in the pen and writing instrument trade. He started as an Assistant Buyer in 2002, worked his way up to Head Buyer and eventually President of Paradise Pen, a retailer that grew to 24 locations and roughly 120 employees, and was Montblanc's largest wholesale account in the United States. That two-decade foundation in sourcing, retail, and corporate sales is what RiNo Distribution is built on.
