The American Dream is a full-sized pen with a nice bit of heft and will be a comfortable fit in the hand for most users. The roller clip makes this pen perfect for carrying in a shirt pocket while showing off the red, white, and blue bands at the top of the cap.     

Montegrappa's attention to detail extends even to the top of the cap and the bottom of the barrel - the cap top is in the same dark blue as the body, while the bottom of the barrel is in deep red.  This pen features a medium, 18kt gold partially-hooded nib.

The American Dream is a cartridge-converter fountain pen which can use any bottled fountain pen ink using the provided Montegrappa converter, which has a generous .7 ml capacity. It can also be filled using international size ink cartridges, including 1.3ml Pelikan Large Cartridges.

Each Montegrappa American Dream fountain pen includes a complimentary lapel pin and ships in a Montegrappa presentation box which includes introductory booklet and two starter ink cartridges.
