Attach the converter to the back of the FP grip section as you would a cartridge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2. Once installed, submerge the nib completely into your bottle of fountain pen ink.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e3. Twist the converter's piston mechanism to draw the ink up through the nib and into the converter reservoir.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e4. Wipe any excess ink from the nib and grip section with a clean, soft cloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e🖋️ Installing Your FP 3.0 Insert into the Sherpa Shell\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGetting your new FP 3.0 insert ready and installed is simple! It fits into your Sherpa pen shell just like your standard Sharpie marker or Sherpa RB insert.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col start=\"1\"\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePrep the Insert and Sherpa pen:\u003c\/b\u003e After filling your FP 3.0 with ink, screw the barrel back on but be sure the cap is left off.  Disassemble your Sherpa pen shell by unscrewing the grip section from the body.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eInsert:\u003c\/b\u003e Place your uncapped Sherpa FP 3.0 insert into the open Sherpa pen shell and then screw the grip section down over the nib just like you would a Sharpie marker or Sherpa roller ball insert.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat's it! Your FP 3.0 Sherpa is now ready for smooth writing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIf Your Tip Dries Out:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf your pen was left uncapped or has been inactive for a period of time, the tip of the nib can dry out.  To revive a stubborn nib, simply \u003cb\u003erun the very tip of the nib briefly under cool tap water for 1–2 seconds\u003c\/b\u003e.
